The curved design shows ribbed lines. The box's interior shows gilded interior. Sealed "LK", "900" and the moon and crown hallmark.

Footnote: Provenance: Louis Kuppenheim became a renowned gold and silver case maker and small-time worker in Germany in the early 20th century. It has been suggested that Kuppenheim manufactured pieces for major brands, including Cartier and Boucheron, and that the company focused mainly on small objects, such as smoking articles, stationery and toiletries. Kuppenheim products received the gold medal at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris. At its peak, the company employed more than 200 craftsmen in its factories in Pforzheim and, in addition to its shop in Paris, had a thriving export business.
